Artist's Comments
Something I did for my brother's birthday. Spent hours looking at Sargent paintings and learnt how to paint hair a little better, I think. Overall just wanted to create something more badass than my usual elves and fluff. This is okay... I think the values could use a lot of work, but it's a definite step forward for me.
Not a bad way to start off 2009.  From scratch on the computer. Mostly Corel Painter, with Photoshop for color tweaking and that hand. About four hours, give or take. Didn't use a reference, either.. which is why his stomach could use some work. |
